$POP

$POP is the ownership token of PopularityX. It is not a reward program. It is how ownership of the protocol is distributed, to the people who use it.

How you earn it

Hold positions. Your $POP is earned by the size of your positions and how long you hold them: average holding value times time times the season multiplier.

There are no points for volume and no points for posting. Ownership goes to the people with skin in the game.

Earlier seasons carry bigger multipliers, so the same position is worth more $POP now than it ever will be again. Being early pays.

What emissions are

Emissions are the mechanism that distributes ownership, not a reward for activity. Over time, holding positions moves ownership of the protocol into the hands of the people holding positions. That is the whole design.

What backs it

PopularityX earns protocol revenue: float yield on deposits, plus trading fees. The long-term mechanism for putting that revenue to work is buybacks.

Governance only

$POP is a governance token. It votes on the treasury and on the parameters. Nothing is promised beyond governance. No claim is made about the token's value.
